The Monrovia-Duarte Black Alumni Association (MDBAA) Organization is a non-profit organization and has been in existence since 1992. For over 29 years, MDBAA has focused on the education and advancement of African American youth in the Monrovia and Duarte communities. We sponsor various events throughout the year providing our youth educational opportunities, community engagement, and college scholarships. In 2022 MDBAA will be celebrating 30 years of service to our community.Enjoy live Jazz and food at Rancho Duarte Golf Course. STATE OF THE CITY AND SCHOOLSThe City of Duarte and Duarte Unified School District invite all residents to the 2022 State of the City and Schools Address on April 5 at the Duarte Community Center. Mayor Margaret Finlay and Duarte School President Reyna Diaz will reflect on notable experiences and share their goals for the year ahead.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available after the ceremony at the Duarte City Hall Courtyard.

DUARTE EGGFESTThe Duarte Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to hop on over to Duarte EGGFEST 2022. This free, springtime annual event will include an egg hunt, with thousands of eggs filled with candy or treats, for youth ages 3 - 10, crafts, games, music, and photos with the Easter Bunny.
